A brief history
This historic winery was established in 1929 in Kakheti, located in the ancient village of Gurjaani. 1929 Gurjaani owns 3 hectares of vineyards where local grape varietals are harvested with organic processes and wine is produced using traditional Georgian winemaking methods. The wine factory has been modernized with the latest technology as well, enabling the company to produce 18 different types of wine and brandy as well as a selection of juices and jams.; Located in the Alazani River Plain, the Gurjaani Village is at an elevation of 415 meters above sea level. The village is historically recorded as early as the 16th century, which indicates Georgia’s unique winemaking history in the region.
