Growing Conditions

Our vineyards are located in the best soils of Khashmi, named Karabulakhi and Tokebi. Together with that, they are so called pre-phylloxera vineyards, that means that vines are not grafted, and are planted on their natural rootstocks. This type of vineyards are very rare in the world, and they are characterized as comparatively lower yield. Treatment of those vineyards are very cost and labor expensive, but results distinguishable character wines. We do not irrigate vineyards and that also reduces crop, but on the other hand this reduced crop yields to comparatively higher skin to juice ratio and also increases intensity of wine, that finally effects positively on quality of final product. We treat vineyards with bio/organic methods.

Winemaking

Our wines are made 100% naturally, without any additives, without added sulfites, without clarification, without filtration. Nothing added, Nothing removed, Just 100% grape juice. Wine is made in Qvevri. During the fermentation, it has been 10 days on skins.

Appearance

It’s characterized with a high intensity, very dark color.

Food Pairing

It’s well paired with a roasted meat, barbeque, spicy food and semi-hard and hard cheeses.
