Winemaker, Giorgi Tchumburidze, makes 9.5 million bottles of amber, orange, dry and sweet red, dry and sweet white, dry and sweet rosé and sparkling wines in qvevri and “classical” steel tanks, using Saperavi, Rkatsiteli, Kakhuri Mtsvane, Chkhaveri, Alexandrouli, Mujuretuli, Tsolikouri, Khikhvi, Kisi and Muscat varieties. The winery’s brands, which make over 60 labels, include Askaneli, Dora, Orveli, Darejani, Pavo, Artwine and Galavani. Askaneli also makes brandy and chacha.
