Palate
The wine has a smooth, medium-bodied texture with well-integrated tannins and a balanced level of acidity. On the palate, it offers flavors of ripe red berries, such as cherries and raspberries, with a subtle touch of sweetness and a long, soft finish.
Growing Conditions
Produced from specially selected Saperavi grapes grown in the Kindzmarauli microzone of the Kakheti region.
Harvest
Selective hand-picking of ripe grapes, during full physiological ripening, typically occurring in late September to early October.
Bottling
The wine undergoes cold stabilization and filtration before being bottled using the gravitational bottling method. The closure is natural cork.
Winemaking
After the whole grapes are gently crushed, the must is allowed to undergo fermentation with careful temperature control to preserve the rich flavors and aromas. The process is followed by a period of controlled maceration to extract the full potential from the skins.
Aging
Kindzmarauli wine is aged in stainless steel tanks or glass vessels, maintaining its characteristic fresh fruit flavor. Some producers may opt for a short period of oak aging to add complexity.
Appearance
Kindzmarauli has a deep, ruby red color with a vibrant and clear appearance.
Food Pairing
Kindzmarauli pairs well with rich dishes such as grilled meats, braised lamb, or Georgian stews . It also can be enjoyed with desserts like chocolate-based cakes or fruit tarts.
