Palate

Mukuzani displays a deep, rich garnet color with a slight ruby hue. The palate is full-bodied and smooth, offering ripe dark fruit flavors like black cherry and plum, complemented by earthy notes and hints of spices from the oak aging. The finish is long, with velvety tannins and a touch of smokiness, making it a complex and elegant wine.

Harvest

Hand-picked at optimal ripeness from late September to early October, ensuring only the finest, most mature grape bunches are selected for this distinctive wine.

Bottling

The wine is cold-stabilized and bottled using the gravitational method, sealed with a natural cork to guarantee authenticity and premium quality.

Winemaking

The whole grapes are carefully crushed, with the must gently separated. Fermentation occurs at a controlled temperature to preserve the wine's fresh essence. After fermentation, the wine is clarified, stabilized, and cold-filtered to ensure purity and consistency.

Aging

Mukuzani is traditionally aged in oak barrels for up to one year. The oak aging enhances the wine’s structure, imparts subtle complexity, and adds a layer of depth to its character, without overpowering the delicate balance of flavors.

Appearance

Mukuzani has a deep, dark red color, often described as ruby or garnet. The wine's richness in color comes from the Saperavi grape, which is known for its dark pigmentation.

Food Pairing

Mukuzani pairs wonderfully with grilled meats, hearty stews, and roasted vegetables. It is particularly delicious with traditional Georgian dishes like khinkali and mtsvadi (grilled meat skewers). A perfect choice to complement rich cheeses, such as aged sulguni or guda.
