Nose
The nose is a marriage between smoked honey and citris.
Palate
A lovely creamy, leesy character to the texture coupled by delicate tannins. An exotic palate of kiwi & lime, green plums and orange peel. Really fresh with a long on the finish. A great wine.
Growing Conditions
Oda was one of the new-wave pioneering wineries in Samegrelo which started to popularise local grapes after the demise of winemaking in the 19th century due to fungal disease and the rule of the Soviet government. Thanks to wineries such as Oda, Samegrelo has now become a thriving vine-growing and winemaking region again. The grapes were harvested from the family-based organic vineyards in the village of Nakhunavo, Samegrelo region, Western Georgia. The small 0.3ha south east slope vineyard was planted in 2004 and is cared for using organic treatment (though not certified). The soil type is diluvial.
Harvest
