Growing Conditions

The vineyards are located in the micro-zone of Khvanchkara in Racha, Georgia. The annual duration of sunshine is 1900-2000 hours, which has a significant influence on increasing the grape quality. The vineyard has its own microclimate as it sits on the slopes above the river Rioni. The soils are rich in humic-quartz and limestone that have a good capability of heat absorption and cooling. This is where Aleksandrouli and Mujuretuli originated.

Harvest

Buds of Aleksandrouli and Mujuretuli blossom in the middle of April, flowering in the first week of June, and the grapes begin ripening from the middle of August. Aleksandrouli is fully ripe by the end of September and is harvested in the first half of October. Sugar-content of the grape reaches 260 gr/dm3. Mujuretuli is fully ripe by the middle of October.
