JSC Tbilvino
A brief history
JSC Tbilvino was established in 1962 in Tbilisi. Since 1999, it has been run by brothers Zurab and Giorgi Margvelashvili. One of Georgia’s biggest producers, Tbilvino owns two wineries (the second one opened in 2012), producing 6 million bottles under the Tbilvino, Georgian Valleys, Iveriuli, Didebuli, Nanati, Adati, Sapatio, Georgian Ornament, Soul of Georgia labels. It makes amber, orange, dry and sweet red, dry and sweet white, dry and sweet rosé and special reserve oak-aged wines, using Saperavi, Rkatsiteli, Kisi, Kakhuri Mtsvivani, Kakhuri Mtsvane, Aleksandrouli, Mujuretuli, Tsolikauri and Ojaleshi varieties. The winery owns 226 hectares of vineyards in Mukuzani and Kindzmarauli micro-zones. Tbilvino, which is ISO 22000 and ISO 9001-certified, exports to more than 30 countries and regulraly submits wines to international competitions, such as Decanter Wine Awards, IWSC, IWC, Mondial, and the Berlin Wine Trophy.
